Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf (Genesis) - Authentic Sega Cartridge, Tested & Cleaned

From the Genesis’s earliest days

Authentic Sega Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf for the Genesis - a 1989 release, one of the earliest games on the system. Every copy gets powered on, verified to boot and play, and has its contacts cleaned before it ships.

A piece of Sega’s celebrity-endorsement era

Here’s the fun history: under the label this is a Western localization of the Japanese game Ozaki Naomichi no Super Masters - Sega swapped in golf legend Arnold Palmer’s name and face for the US market. It was part of a deliberate early-Genesis play of putting big-name stars on sports titles to sell the new console (Palmer’s golf, Tommy Lasorda’s baseball, Pat Riley’s basketball), and it worked well enough to earn a Sega Classics re-release. Collector bonus: it hides Sega Easter eggs - Opa-Opa from Fantasy Zone as the pause cursor, and Alex Kidd turning up during the tournament coffee breaks.

Pick your grade, bundle-ready

Sold by condition grade: every grade is tested, cleaned and plays exactly the same, and the grade only describes how it looks. Here’s how I grade condition. A solid add-on for a restored Genesis bundle; stack a few games onto a console and the savings add up.
