A quick rundown of how orders get built, packed, and shipped.

Handling time

Items in stock are shipped in 1-2 business days. Items not in stock can take 1-2 weeks to build, depending on parts availability. If you have any questions, reach out.

US shipping

Domestic orders ship via USPS or ground service with tracking. Where shipping is free or a flat rate, that’s already baked into the item price. You’ll get a tracking number once the package is on its way.

International shipping

Canada: yes, but order through my Etsy shop rather than here. Orders placed on this site ship within the US only. Etsy handles the customs paperwork, which is the bulk of the hassle.

One thing to know before you order: tax is not collected at checkout on a parcel coming from the US, so GST/HST, and QST in Quebec, may be assessed when it arrives, along with Canada Post’s handling fee of about CAD $9.95 when they do assess it. Plenty of low-value parcels come through unassessed, so treat that as a possibility rather than a certainty. Duty itself is normally nothing: I build these in the US, which makes them duty-free under CUSMA.

Everywhere else: not at the moment, and it is often prohibitively expensive. Brazil, for example, charges 60% import duty plus state tax on the declared value including freight, so a small parcel can land with a tax bill bigger than the parts inside it.

If you’re willing to shoulder that cost, or you think your jurisdiction will be more reasonable, contact me and I’m happy to explore options. Any customs duties or import taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.

Lost or damaged in transit

If a package is lost or arrives damaged, contact me and we’ll sort it out together: a replacement, a refund, or a carrier claim, whichever fits. Hang onto the packaging and take photos of any damage; it helps with claims.
