The short version

ConsoleArtisan is a static storefront, and it is built to collect almost nothing. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no user accounts. We don’t watch you browse. When you buy something, Shopify handles checkout and your payment, and we only ever receive the order details we need to build, ship, and support what you bought. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it for marketing.

This page explains, in plain English, the little that does happen.

This website

The site is a static website. It runs no analytics or tracking scripts, shows no ads, includes no third-party tracking, and has no user accounts or logins. Simply browsing the site does not create a profile, an account, or a marketing record.

The only thing the site stores in your browser is a cart identifier kept in your browser’s localStorage. This lets your cart persist as you move between pages. It is not a tracking cookie, it stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time through your browser’s settings.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. The cart identifier described above lives in localStorage, not in a cookie.

When you proceed to checkout, you move into Shopify’s checkout, and Shopify may set its own cookies to operate the cart and complete your purchase securely. Those cookies are governed by Shopify’s privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Checkout and payment

Checkout and payment are handled entirely by Shopify. When you buy something, your cart and checkout run through Shopify, and Shopify processes the transaction and your payment details. Your card and payment information are handled by Shopify and never touch or get stored by ConsoleArtisan.

Information we receive and why

From a completed order, ConsoleArtisan receives the information needed to fulfill it: your name, shipping address, email address, and the items you ordered. We use this only to build, ship, and support your order, including answering any questions you have about it.

We do not sell this information, and we do not share it for marketing or advertising.

Shipping

To deliver your package, we share your shipping address with the carrier (USPS). The carrier uses it to transport and deliver your order.

Reviews

We like to collect genuine reviews from real customers. After a purchase, ConsoleArtisan may share your email address with Trustpilot so it can send you an invitation to review your purchase. Trustpilot processes that data under its own privacy policy: https://www.trustpilot.com/privacy. Reviewing is always optional.

Server logs

The site is self-hosted. Like most web servers, ours may keep standard request logs that can include your IP address. These logs exist for security and operational reasons, and they are retained only briefly.

What we don’t do

To be clear about the things we deliberately avoid:

• We don’t sell your personal information.
• We don’t use your information for marketing or advertising.
• We don’t run cross-site tracking, behavioral profiling, or ad targeting.
• We don’t embed third-party analytics or tracking scripts on the site.

Data retention and safeguards

We keep order information only as long as needed to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet ordinary business, tax, and legal requirements, after which it is deleted. Server logs are retained only briefly. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and the order and payment systems we rely on (such as Shopify) maintain their own security measures.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us about the information we hold about you, request a copy, or ask us to delete it after your order is complete. To do any of these, email us at store@consoleartisan.com, and we’ll take care of it. You can also clear the cart identifier from your browser’s localStorage at any time through your browser settings.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information.

The categories of personal information we may collect are limited to: identifiers (such as your name and email address), customer records (such as your shipping address and order details), internet activity in the narrow form of brief server logs (such as your IP address), and geolocation only as implied by a shipping address or IP address. We collect this to fulfill your order, ship it, support it, invite a review, and keep the site secure.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request that we delete it, and to request that we correct it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To exercise them, email us at store@consoleartisan.com. We may need to verify your request by confirming details associated with your order.

EEA and UK residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the following applies to your personal data.

Our lawful bases for processing are:

• Performance of a contract, to process, ship, and support your order.
• Legitimate interests, to keep the site and our operations secure (for example, brief server logs), and to invite genuine product reviews.
• Consent, where it applies, which you can withdraw at any time.

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected (rectification), to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at store@consoleartisan.com.

ConsoleArtisan operates from the United States, and the service providers we use (such as Shopify) may process your data in the United States. By placing an order, you understand that your information may be processed there. If you have an unresolved concern, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

This store is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, email us at store@consoleartisan.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, so it’s worth checking back occasionally.
