SCART to HDMI Converter (RGB / Composite to HDMI 720p/1080p) - Bench-Tested

One little box, almost every console

This is the SCART-to-HDMI converter I quietly put in most of my bundles - the piece that gets an old console onto a modern TV and looking good. Feed it SCART (carrying either RGB or composite, depending on your cable) and it puts out a clean HDMI signal at 720p or 1080p. With the right cable it adapts almost any console out there: the ones that output RGB come through genuinely sharp, and composite-only consoles still work fine.

Why this one

• Picture quality first. This is the good-quality class of converter, not bottom-shelf stuff. To be straight with you, that means it’s tuned for a great image rather than for zero lag - the latency is perfectly fine for the vast majority of play, but if you’re doing frame-perfect competitive Tetris, that’s a different (pricier) low-lag tier and this isn’t it. For everything else, it’s exactly what you want.
• Bench-tested, not a gamble. Cheap HDMI converters are a crapshoot - I’ve had them show up dead on arrival. Every single one I sell is tested and confirmed working before it ships. That’s the whole reason I bundle the ones I trust instead of whatever’s cheapest.
• Flexible 5V power. It runs on 5V, so use the included wall adapter or, since it’s just 5V, power it off a USB battery bank, a TV’s USB port, or a phone charger with a simple USB-to-barrel cable. No proprietary brick to lose.

What’s in the box

The converter plus its 5V US power adapter. Switches on the unit let you choose SCART or HDMI input, 720p or 1080p output, and PAL or NTSC. Audio comes out embedded in the HDMI, with 3.5mm analog and coaxial digital outputs too if you want it separate.

The heart of a bundle

This is the piece that makes a “plug it into your modern TV and it just works” setup actually work - pair it with a restored console and the right RGB SCART cable and you’ve got a sharp, HDMI-ready retro rig.
