Three games, one cartridge - the Power Set pack-in
Authentic Nintendo Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet - the 3-in-1 cart that came with the NES Power Set, the bundle that added the Power Pad floor mat to the box. Run through World 1-1, shoot some ducks, then stomp your way through a 100-meter dash in your living room. Powered on, verified to boot and play all three, and contacts cleaned before it ships.
Before you buy - two accessory catches: Duck Hunt needs a Zapper and a CRT/tube TV (the light gun won’t register on a flat panel), and World Class Track Meet needs the Power Pad mat, which is not included. Super Mario Bros. plays with a normal controller on any TV, so one game in three works with nothing extra.
The cheap way to own Stadium Events
World Class Track Meet started life as Bandai’s Stadium Events, released in 1987 for Bandai’s own Family Fun Fitness mat. Nintendo then took over the mat, renamed it the Power Pad, pulled Stadium Events off shelves, and re-released the same game under its own name in 1988. So few copies of Stadium Events reached buyers that it became one of the most valuable NES games there is, with collectors’ copies selling for tens of thousands of dollars. Track Meet is the same game with a new title screen. This cart costs a lot less.
Epoxy blobs inside, and that’s genuine
Open this cart and you’ll find the chips sealed under black epoxy blobs rather than individual packaged chips. That is not a reproduction. Blobs often do mean a bootleg on other games, which is why it surprises people, but the back of this board is silkscreened (c) 1988 Nintendo, NES-WH - see the photos. Nintendo used the same kind of epoxy board on the two-game Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt too.
Pick your grade, bundle-ready
Sold by condition grade: every grade plays all three games the same, and the grade only describes looks - here’s how I grade condition. Just want Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt? The two-game Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt cart is the more common pack-in. Either one drops straight into a restored NES bundle.
