Real players, generic teams
It carries the MLBPA (players’ association) license but not an MLB team license. In practice that means the actual early-’90s stars are all here - your Clemens, Bonds, and Canseco - but they suit up for teams listed by city name only, the classic “real players, generic teams” arrangement. It battery-saves a full 162-game season, and there’s one unmistakable quirk: reviewers noticed the umpire’s calls have a Japanese accent, a fingerprint of the Japanese developer, I.T.L.
