Pocket MLB for the Game Gear
Authentic The Majors Pro Baseball for the Sega Game Gear - MLB-licensed 8-bit baseball you can play anywhere, 1-2 players. The label’s a nice close-up of a signed baseball, MLB logo and all. Powered on, verified to boot and play, and contacts cleaned before it ships.
Real players, generic teams
It carries the MLBPA (players’ association) license but not an MLB team license. In practice that means the actual early-’90s stars are all here - your Clemens, Bonds, and Canseco - but they suit up for teams listed by city name only, the classic “real players, generic teams” arrangement. It battery-saves a full 162-game season, and there’s one unmistakable quirk: reviewers noticed the umpire’s calls have a Japanese accent, a fingerprint of the Japanese developer, I.T.L.
Region-free, bundle-ready
Game Gear carts are region-free, so this plays on any Game Gear worldwide. Copies are graded by condition when they’re back in stock - here’s how I grade condition. A cheap, cheerful sports filler for a Game Gear bundle.
